For anyone who spent time watching Cartoon Network, particularly the animated series known as Regular Show, the name Benson Dunwoody likely brings to mind a certain gumball machine with a rather distinctive way of expressing himself. This character, a central figure in the daily happenings of the park, truly stood out, in a way, as the one trying to keep things from going completely off the rails amidst the antics of Mordecai and Rigby. His presence, often marked by a rising temper, was, you know, a constant source of both exasperation and, sometimes, genuine concern for the park's well-being.

He was, you see, the park's manager for a good stretch of the show's run, a gumball machine whose job it was to look after the place and everyone working there. This meant he often found himself in charge of the two friends, Mordecai and Rigby, whose approach to their work duties was, shall we say, a bit relaxed. Their knack for getting into all sorts of scrapes meant Benson had his work cut out for him, nearly every single day, trying to steer them straight.

The series itself, a creation by J.G. Quintel, centered on the everyday adventures, or misadventures, of these two pals, Mordecai and Rigby. And right there, at the heart of it all, was Benson, the one trying to impose some sort of order on their often chaotic existence. He was, in some respects, the grounding force, even if that grounding often came with a lot of loud expressions, as a matter of fact.
