What is Howell Nature Center?

You can see our lovely hawks, owls, eagles, falcons, and many other feathered friends in the DTE area. It’s a pretty cool experience, actually, getting to observe these magnificent birds. The Wild Wonders Wildlife Park is open seven days a week, so you can pretty much always pop by and say hello to the approximately 70 animals that call this place home, most of them being permanent Michigan residents.
These areas, the Wild Wonders Wildlife Park and the Nature Zone, are open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. So, you know, there’s a good chunk of time to come and visit our collection of permanent residents. What Happened at Howell Nature Center?
Deputies from the Livingston County Sheriff's Office were called to the Howell Nature Center at about 3:30 p.m. on the 26th, after a tree fell on someone. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office was sent out at 3:32 p.m. This was, you know, a very unfortunate event that caught everyone by surprise.
The Howell Nature Center put out a statement on their Facebook page, saying how sad they were. They shared that their hearts were broken and they were deeply upset by what happened there. It was, you know, a really tough moment for everyone connected to the center and the community.
